Pinout

Note
  • This page lists the pinout of the FLY-C5 motherboard after flashing Klipper firmware. Pin numbers are based on the motherboard schematic.
  • UART/CS is the driver communication pin: used as UART with TMC2209, used as chip select CS with SPI drivers such as TMC5160. The pin is multiplexed for both functions.
  • EN is the enable pin. In Klipper configuration, it is typically active low (prefix the enable_pin with !).
  • DIAG is the driver diagnostic signal pin. When using sensorless homing, configure the corresponding diag_pin according to the table below.

The FLY-C5 provides 5 driver ports:

Power Off Before Operation

Before starting, completely shut down the printer and disconnect the power supply. Do not plug or unplug wiring harnesses, organize interface wiring, or touch terminals while the printer is powered on.

DIAG and Sensorless Homing

The DIAG signals for DRIVER0–4 are independently connected to the main controller. When using sensorless homing, configure the corresponding driver's diag_pin according to the DIAG row in the table above. These DIAG pins do not occupy the regular endstop ports listed above. The regular endstop ports can still be used as mechanical endstops or inputs based on your actual wiring.

SPI Bus

SPI drivers such as the TMC5160 use the motherboard's hardware SPI bus. Configure spi_bus: spi1a in the configuration; there is no need to configure the MOSI/MISO/SCLK pins separately:

Supported Thermistor Types

The thermistor ports support NTC thermistors (100K) by default. The recommended sensor_type configuration is Generic 3950.

K-type thermocouples, PT100, etc., require additional signal conversion chips and cannot be directly connected to the thermistor ports.

Screen / EXP Notes

Interface Notes

The FLY-C5 does not provide standard EXP1 / EXP2 12864 pin headers. Please use the board's TFT, FPC HDMI, HDMI, or UART screen interfaces. Do not apply the EXP1 / EXP2 pinout from other motherboards.
